Sonia Sharma
Behaviour Therapist
My name is Sonia, and I am a dedicated Behaviour Therapist certified by Autism Pathway Foundation, currently working with individuals of all ages and abilities to help them achieve meaningful progress in their daily lives.
With a Certificate IV in Disability and a background as a Support Worker, I bring a unique blend of professional training and heartfelt experience. I have also spent over five years in aged care as an Assistant in Nursing, supporting older adults with care and empathy.
What truly drives my work is my personal journey as a mother to a child with additional needs. This lived experience gives me a deep understanding of the challenges families face, particularly when it comes to supporting individuals with complex behaviour needs. It inspires my mission to make therapy not only effective but also respectful, joyful, and culturally sensitive.
My goal is to create fun, engaging, and trust-based learning environments that foster growth and independence. I enjoy building strong, respectful relationships with children and their families, always striving to meet each individual’s unique needs.
I am also committed to continuing my professional development in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and enhancing my skills to better serve the people I work with.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places with my son and seeking out new experiences together — it’s how we learn and grow.
